DiTondo is a Chef and Sommelier owned and operated Italian restaurant in downtown Buffalo, NY. The fourth generation of the DiTondo family took over in 2021 and shifted the focus to farm-to-table, regional Italian food with a carefully curated wine program.

Parking: Parking is available in the lot on the corner of Seneca and South Cedar, as well as street parking in front of the restaurant.

Reservations: Reservations are available 30 days in advance through Resy. For groups of 7+ guests please email info@ditondo1904.com

Gratuity: A 20% gratuity is added to each check. 100% of this goes to our service employees. This helps our team earn a consistent, living wage and facilitates a collaborative team environment.

The Story of Our Italian Restaurant

DiTondo is a fourth-generation family business founded by Sebastiano Di Tondo. He was born in Abruzzo, Italy, and immigrated to the United States as a young adult. In 1904 he became a partner in a tavern on Seneca Street, and in the 1930s he ventured out on his own opening an Italian restaurant at 370 Seneca. Four generations of the Di Tondo family have carried on his legacy. 

In 2019 Rita Di Tondo, Sebastiano’s great-granddaughter, and her husband, Fabio Consonni, moved to Buffalo to be the fourth generation of the family to run the restaurant. They embarked on their first ever renovation project, modernizing the kitchen and restoring the historical character of the building built in 1890. In October 2021 DiTondo once again opened its doors as Buffalo's premier Italian restaurant.

Lunch Parties

Maximum Capacity (Inside): 54 guests
Lunch: Tuesday-Saturday, 11:00 am until 2:00 pm
Menus start at $56 for 3 courses

Dinner Parties

Maximum Capacity (Inside): 32 guests in our semi-private Garden Room
Dinner: Tuesday-Saturday, 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm
Menus start at $56 for 3 courses

Buyouts

Maximum Capacity (Inside): 54 guests October-June
Dinner: Tuesday-Saturday, 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm
Menus and pricing can be provided upon request.

Patio

The covered patio and garden area is available to book for parties July-September.
